Quick Fare is operated by Nexform AI, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16972967, at 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE. We are the data controller for the information described here.
This covers two separate things: the Quick Fare Android app and the Quick Fare website. They handle information very differently, so they are set out separately.
1. The Quick Fare app
Your trip data stays on your phone
The trips Quick Fare logs, the running costs you enter, your minimum £ per hour and £ per mile, your weekly target and the reports built from them are stored on your own device. You can back this data up to a single file and restore it yourself.
What the app reads
Quick Fare reads the offer and trip screens of the rideshare apps you use so it can work out £ per hour, £ per mile, total time and total distance for the job in front of you. It does not read anything else you do on your phone.
Quick Fare is read-only. It does not tap, accept, decline or otherwise control any third-party app. Every decision about a job is yours.
The app keeps a rolling log of what it read on screen, stored inside the app on your device. No screenshots and no addresses are kept. This log stays on your phone unless you choose to send a diagnostic report, save it to a file, or ask the in-app assistant for help. What the app does send to our servers is set out below, under Diagnostics and technical information and Accounts, subscriptions and payment.
What the app does not collect
- Pickup or drop-off addresses
- Passenger names or any other passenger details
- Anything from apps other than the offer and trip screens described above
How the app reads the screen
Turning the picture of an offer into words is done by a Google library called ML Kit, which is built into the app. It runs entirely on your phone. The recognition models are shipped inside the app itself, so it works with no signal, and the recognition process sends nothing from your screen anywhere — not to us, not to Google, not to anyone else. The only way anything the app read can reach us is if you choose to send it: recent entries from the reading log travel with your support messages, and Send diagnostic report shares the log itself.
One thing does leave your phone: a small amount of technical information about the library itself — how often it ran, how long it took, whether it hit an error. Google uses this to find bugs and improve the library. It describes how the software performed, not what it read. It is not linked to you, and we never see it. Google's handling of it is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
Diagnostics and technical information
The app talks to our servers to run your account — signing you in, checking your trial or subscription, and confirming a purchase with Google Play. Alongside those requests it sends basic technical details of your phone: the app version, your device model and Android version, and a random ID the app creates for your installation (shown in the app's support screen). We use these to run your account and to trace faults on the devices they actually happen on.
The app also collects diagnostics data: the reading log described above — what it read from each offer card and the verdict it worked out. It is sent to us when you message support (recent log entries travel with your message) and when you tap Send diagnostic report, and it is used for one thing: fixing offer cards the app read wrongly or failed to read. Passenger names, addresses and pickup locations are removed before anything is written to the log, and fares are removed again before any diagnostics leave your phone.
Nothing the app sends ever includes your earnings, fares or costs — our servers refuse money figures and strip them out of anything received before it is stored — and never passenger details or addresses.
The in-app assistant
Quick Fare includes an AI assistant that answers setup and troubleshooting questions. To do that it uses your app settings and diagnostic information — not your trip history, addresses or passenger details. Your question and that technical context are sent to our support service to generate a reply, and may be reviewed by a person if your query is passed on. Do not include personal information in your messages.
Support records — usage counters and, where a query was passed to a person, a short record of it — are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted automatically. They are tied to a random ID created by the app, not to your name, and you can delete them at any time at quickfare.app/delete-account using the device ID shown in the app's support screen. Figures about your earnings or costs are never accepted by our servers: money-related fields are stripped out of what the app sends before it is processed or stored.
Accounts, subscriptions and payment
You create your account in the app. At signup we collect your full name (first and last), email address and contact number. Your name and email are used to run your account: signing you in with emailed verification codes and sending messages about your trial or subscription. Your contact number is collected for SMS verification codes — a sign-in option we plan to switch on later — and for nothing else: no marketing calls, no marketing texts, and it is never shared.
You subscribe in the app through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google. We never see or store your card details. Google tells us whether a subscription is active. Google's handling of your data is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
Account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account — in the app or at quickfare.app/delete-account — it is removed after a 30-day window in which we can undo an accidental deletion.
Companies that process data for us
Two specialist providers process limited data on our behalf, under contracts that only allow them to use it to provide their service to us:
- Anthropic (United States) powers the in-app assistant. When you ask it a question, your messages and the technical context described above are processed by Anthropic to generate the reply. This involves a transfer to the United States, safeguarded by Anthropic's certification under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Anthropic does not use your messages to train its models.
- Resend (United States) delivers our account emails — verification codes and messages about your trial or subscription. It processes your email address and the content of those emails, and sends them from infrastructure in Ireland. As a US company this involves a transfer to the United States, safeguarded by standard contractual clauses.
Neither provider may use your information for its own purposes.
Permissions
To read offer screens and show the Verdict Card, Quick Fare asks for Accessibility, Display over other apps and Notifications permissions, and asks you to exclude it from battery optimisation so Android does not stop it mid-shift. Android explains what each one allows. You can withdraw any permission at any time in your phone's settings, though the Verdict Card stops showing if you do.
2. The Quick Fare website
The contact form
If you send us a message we collect your name, email address and the message itself. We also record the time, your IP address and your browser's user agent string, which we use to spot and block automated spam.
We use these details for one thing: replying to your enquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your details for marketing.
Enquiries are emailed to us and a copy is stored on our web server so nothing is lost if email delivery fails. We keep them for up to 24 months and then delete them.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is nothing here to consent to, which is why you have not been shown a cookie banner.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses and requested pages, for security and troubleshooting. These are held briefly and then overwritten.
No accounts on this website
There is no signup, login, account area or payment on this website. Everything to do with your account and your subscription happens in the app.
Screenshots on this website
The screenshots shown on this website are illustrative. Personal data has been removed from them, and the figures they show are examples from real use rather than a promise of what you will earn.
3. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Because your trip data is stored on your own phone rather than on our servers, in most cases you already hold it directly.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@quickfare.app. We will respond within one month.
Our lawful basis for contact form enquiries and for in-app support is legitimate interests — answering someone who has asked us a question. Our lawful basis for account and subscription data is performance of a contract.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
4. Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Enquiry records stored on our server are placed outside the publicly reachable part of the site. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we hold.
5. Children
Quick Fare is a tool for licensed private hire and rideshare drivers and is not intended for anyone under 18.
6. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged in the app or on this website.
